A woman was rushed to a hospital after she drank air freshener because she thought it was an alcoholic beverage, police in Georgia said. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said that the incident unfolded when 57-year-old Neil Berry arrived home on Sunday night.
According to a reports by Odd News Blog, Berry found his wife, 59-year-old Sandra Berry, at home and feeling ill. The woman told her husband that she drank something from a plastic bottle under a cabinet labeled “Apple Cinnamon,” believing it was alcohol.
The husband informed her that she was actually drank car air freshener. The woman felt dizzy before collapsing in a chair. Neil Berry called police and put his wife into his car.
Police officers who arrived at the scene, found Sandra Berry in the back seat of the car and she had difficulty breathing. Paramedics transported Sandra Berry to a nearby hospital.
