Man Sets Own Car On Fire To Stop Tow Truck From Driving Away With It

A man in the United Kingdom, set his car on fire while it was hooked up to a tow truck.   Police in Manchester, were called after the man attempted to stop the tow truck driver from taking his car.

Police said that 40-year-old Shad Badeau, set his car on fire to prevent it from being towed. The car was parked illegally at 25 Cartier Street. The owner of the apartment building called Dan’s City Towing, to remove the car from the property. Badeau arrived to see his car hooked up and ready to get towed.
He went out of his way to stop the tow truck from taking the car. When he was unable to convince the driver to return his car, Badeau set it on fire. That is when the tow truck driver unhooked the car from his truck, and Badeau extinguished the fire. Police arrived to investigate a complaint of arson. Badeau was arrested on a charge of arson.
