De Gea ‘Happy’ And Hopeful For ‘Good Fortunes’ At Man Utd

David De Gea says he is “happy” and looking forward to “good fortune” with Manchester United.

The Spaniard has not featured for the United this season as coach Louis van Gaal felt he was not in the right frame of mind to man the post with interest from Real Madrid making the rounds throughout the summer transfer window.

The Spanish giants however failed to sign the goalkeeper on transfer deadline day after failing to complete the necessary paperwork in time for club business closure in Spain.
He played his first competitive game of the season for Spain against Macedonia in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Tuesday
“I am enjoying football. I felt good,” said De Gea, adding: “I really wanted to play. Now I need to keep working and see if I have some good fortune at my club as well.”

The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper will now look to reclaim United’s first-choice goalkeeping shirt from Argentina international Sergio Romero, who arrived at Old Trafford in the close season.
He has been included in United’s Champions League squad.
He said: “My future will be the same as now: remain calm, keep working and improving. In concrete terms, enjoy my football. I am happy.”
Man United host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
