Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has announced that he will sit out the Diamond League final in Brussels on Friday after deciding to end his 2015 season early.

The six-time Olympic champion, who won gold medals in 100m, 200m and 4x100m Relay at last month’s IAAF World Championships in Beijing, took to social media to confirm his decision.
Bolt says he will take a “short break” before returning to training next month.
“After the excitement of the past few weeks… I have decided not to race again in 2015,” Bolt wrote on Facebook.

“I am already thinking about next year and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio where I will attempt to defend my titles.” Having struggled with injury for the most part of the year, Bolt was not in contention for the Diamond League title for either of the sprint events.
