A unclad woman who was desperate to get to a fast food restaurant, kidnapped a man and ordered him to drive while threatening him with an ax, police in New Mexico said. Odd News Blog has more:
Bloomfield Police said that they arrested 30-year-old Jennifer Lee Brown, after being accused of jumping into the car of James Sides, and forcing him to drive to Sonic. Brown was charged with kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held at the San Juan County Detention Center, and her bail was set at $130,000.
According to the police investigation, officers arrived at the Dollar General store located at 1502 West Broadway Avenue, on reports of a unclad woman. Brown was found by police in the store and placed under arrest. Sides, who was also at the scene, told police that the unclad woman kidnapped him on U.S. Highway 64. Brown came out of nowhere and jumped into the back seat of his car. The woman had a bag wrapped around her waist, but her breasts were exposed.
She had an ax in her right hand and a knife in her left. Brown ordered him to drive to Sonic located at 1332 West Broadway Avenue. When they reached Sonic, Brown jumped out from the car and started yelling. Sides then managed to escape, and told a Sonic employee to call the police.
